After a successful run on personal computers, elusive thief Carmen Sandiego sneaks her way onto Xbox in an international adventure spanning five continents. While previous games in the educational series featured a point-and-click interface as players pieced together clues to Sandiego's whereabouts, The Secret of the Stolen Drums is a more action-oriented title. To help catch the ringleader and her V.I.L.E. (Villains' International League of Evil) henchmen, players must use an assortment of spy gadgets and a series of acrobatic moves to avoid detection and to apprehend their intended targets. As special agent Cole Gannon, players can switch between a stealth walk, crouched walk, and a tightrope walk as well as perform diving rolls or the act of shimmying across ledges. A total of nine cities will familiarize players with certain elements of geography as the hunt for Carmen Sandiego begins anew.
