Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is the Nintendo 64 debut for the popular PC first-person shooter series. The series takes its name from the Tom Clancy novel of the same name. As in the PC series, you are placed in control of an elite multi-national team of special forces operatives. The Nintendo 64 cartridge offers a series of 12 counter-terrorist missions. Your goals on each mission can include stealth, hostage rescue, and intelligence gathering. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six places a strong emphasis on pre-mission planning. You will be responsible for selecting the personnel for each mission (up to four teams with no more than four operatives total). You will outfit your men with equipment and create a plan of attack. A cooperative mode option lets a second player get into the action.
