Déjà Vu I & II: The Casebooks of Ace Harding (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 1999)

Product Specs
Description
Ace Harding is a hard-boiled private detective with a problem: He doesn't remember who he is, and he's just woken up in a room with a slowly bleeding corpse. Ace will have to gain back his memory, discover the identity of the corpse, and use his best P.I. skills to solve the murder before he's stuck with the rap. And that's just part one. The second part finds Ace in the seedy parts of LA. It seems the corpse back in Chicago had some unpaid debts, and it's up to Ace to pay them off before a notorious Mafioso extracts the money the hard way. Deja Vu I & II: The Casebook of Ace Harding for the Game Boy Color is a compilation of two first-person graphic adventures that first appeared on the PC, with the first installment later making its way to the NES. Both chapters tell their story through stationary, two-dimensional screens. Your job is to move from location to location, finding items and questioning suspects. Some items will prove useful later, but others are nothing but red herrings to throw you off of the trail. Finding new locations draws you closer to the truth and deeper into a mysterious underworld fraught with danger. In the first game, your time is unlimited, but in the second, you only have a week to find the money. If you don't, it's curtains for you.
