Ballistic (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 1999)

Product Specs
Description
In Ballistic, an action puzzle game for owners of either the monochrome Game Boy or the Game Boy Color, the goal is to keep a group of balls from reaching the gate in the center of the screen by rotating a launcher and shooting different colored balls into the group. Three of the same color in a row causes them to vanish, and you can link these groups together for chain reactions. There are three one-player modes: In Panic, your goal is to stay alive as long as possible. Checkmate is a series of puzzles where you have a certain number of shots to eliminate all the balls from the screen; at first, you can only select from five puzzles, but more unlock as you complete them. Time Attack involves eliminating the string of balls as you race against a clock. Two players can use a link cable to go head-to-head in Panic mode with the goal to stay alive until your opponent's string of balls reaches the center gate. As you eliminate balls from your screen, they'll pop up on the other player's screen. To make contests more even, each player can have a different handicap chosen from three difficulty levels. Players can also save their best performances on the high score table, accessed from the main menu.
