Batman: Gotham City Racer puts players in the role of Batman and lets them get behind the wheel of his custom vehicles such as the Batmobile and the Batcycle through 51 episode-based missions. The look of the game is based on the animated series rather than the comic book or movies. Arkham Asylum's security has let Batman down once again as a number of major criminals have escaped and are back on the streets of Gotham City. Players will have to scour the city in search of Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, the Riddler, and Joker. In Patrol Mode users can cruise around Gotham City fighting crime as Batman, Nightwing, or Batgirl. Alternatively, players can choose to cause havoc by selecting to play as one of the twelve villains. Heroes can also face off against villains in two-player split-screen action.
