Description
Based on the 2000 comedy starring Adam Sandler, Little Nicky is a 15-level adventure through the streets and subways of New York City. Satan's youngest son finds himself on a quest to find spurned brothers Adrian and Cassius, who have decided to make Earth their kingdom. Nicky can jump and duck to avoid enemies such as demons and rats, but he'll also need to call upon special powers to overcome stronger foes. Nicky can fly, belch fire, summon creatures, fire an evil ray, use his inner light, and possess a preacher. There are also flasks to drink from and a "mystery power" to help him save the world. Since Nicky comes from hell, he'll need to keep warm to enjoy full use of his powers. This is accomplished by standing in front of fire, which fills up a vertical power meter. Once warmed, Nicky can run faster and jump higher. Yet too much heat will cause him to lose control for a short period of time. Five mini-games are available from the menu screen. "Beefy Shoot" is a duck shooting gallery, "Dart Board" is a dart-throwing contest, "Pineapple" involves tossing pineapples at sinners, and "Gone Fishing" is a fish-catching game. "Satanhead" lets players create a face using assorted parts and then print their creation using the Game Boy Printer. Little Nicky features a heavy metal soundtrack that can be listened to apart from the game (in an option called Metal Mix). Voice clips from stars Adam Sandler and Allen Covert are also included, and players can resume their adventure at any time via passwords provided at the end of each stage.
