Based directly on the Don Adams-voiced Nickelodeon cartoon character, this release from Ubi Soft and Light and Shadow Productions features the misadventures of the bumbling but good-hearted detective. Players guide Inspector Gadget through five different platform worlds, each with four separate areas full of danger and challenges well suited for the hero's special mechanical enhancements and adaptations. As usual, the goal is to thwart the evil plans of Dr. Claw, avoiding the malicious intents of his underhanded traps and callous henchmen along the way. Luckily, as in the television show, Inspector Gadget's computer wiz niece Penny and their perennially under-appreciated dog Brain are around too, just in case Inspector Gadget needs a little help out of any particularly difficult situations
