Tom has abducted Jerry's friends in this five-level action game starring the cartoon mouse. As Jerry, players must run and jump through each side-scrolling stage while avoiding enemies and obstacles. Although the primary objective is to find one of Jerry's friends, there are also "golden collectables" scattered around the level. Golden collectables, which vary depending on the environment, are needed to enter specially marked doors. Behind each door is a mini-game containing a special prize. Once the mini-game is completed, players will be able to acquire one of five power-ups: springs, rockets, bubble gum, bombs, and umbrellas. Power-ups are needed to advance through the level, as they allow Jerry to reach areas otherwise inaccessible. Other items found on the main stages are cheese slices to replenish health, chili peppers that let Jerry emit a fiery blast, and 1-Ups for extra lives. Mischievous Jerry and Angel Jerry offer hints for confused players on each stage. After finding one of Jerry's friends, players will need to defeat a boss character to advance to the next stage. Additional enemies include mechanized mice, dangling spiders, and jumping fish. As players complete each level, a password will be revealed, allowing them to resume progress at a later time.
