SRS: Street Racing Syndicate (Nintendo Game Boy Advance, 2006)

Product Specs
Description
Underground street racing motors onto Game Boy Advance in this handheld adaptation of Namco's Street Racing Syndicate on home consoles. The heart of the arcade-style game is its street mode, where players advance through an illicit career of high-speed racing on city roads. The goal is to outperform rivals in multiple challenges held within Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Miami. The more impressive the performance, the more cash is earned to purchase new vehicles, enhancements, and cosmetic upgrades. A secondary goal is to build up one's "respect," which influences the types of events and challengers available throughout the single-player game. Respect points are received from fulfilling the racing requirements of potential girlfriends and beating the street savvy competitors on each of the featured courses. The game also includes an arcade mode with four standalone events: quick race, checkpoint race, iron man competition, and speed trials. Head-to-head races are supported via Game Link Cable in both standard and checkpoint race formats.
