Description
Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball features a view that sets it apart from the majority of console baseball games. Once the ball is hit, the perspective changes to the fielder looking toward home plate. The batter-pitcher interface is more traditional, with a view from behind the catcher, and hitting the ball strictly relies on timing. Players can choose between an Exhibition or Regular Season game, with season play consisting of 33 or 39 games depending on the selected league. While teams are based on their real-life counterparts, both MLB and MLBPA licenses are absent, meaning all team names and players (aside from Roger Clemens) are fictitious. Passwords will allow you to continue a season in your effort to reach the Championship Series. For those with both 16-bit systems, Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball for the Super Nintendo does not include errors as an option nor does it allow a choice of control configuration. "Rocket Talk" is also absent from this game, which would have offered players strategy advice from the multiple Cy Young Award winner.
