Smashingly popular in the 1960s, and seemingly ubiquitous during their 1980s revival -- found everywhere from pencil tops to locker shelves to rear-view mirrors -- the bare-midriffed, crazy-haired "Trolls" of yesteryear return as "Trollz," in this 2005 Game Boy Advance adventure from Ubisoft. Part of a major brand re-launch by DIC Entertainment, the game showcases latter-days Trollz designed to appeal to "tween" girls, and the main characters are five young teen Trollz girls. According to the story, a number of cute, senior-class boy Trollz have been wrongly accused of cheating on a test. Through adventure game exploration and a number of action-oriented mini-games, the girls must clear the names of their hunky crushes, to keep them from being sent away to military school and having all of their glorious Troll hair shaved off.
