Fighting Masters (Sega Genesis, 1992)
Product Specs
Description
The fate of twelve star systems rests in the outcome of a tournament held by the Primaries, an all-powerful race with the ability to rescue one civilization from extinction. The galaxy's sun is due to explode within hours, taking all nearby planets along with it. Now the twelve chosen representatives must enter a no-holds-barred fight for the right to survive! Since this is a tournament to end all tournaments, losing one match means the game is over (unless you have a continue left). Fighting Masters is a 2D fighting game featuring twelve different combatants, each possessing unique special attacks. The goal is to beat all eleven challengers until you meet the final boss -- defeat him and you'll save your world from destruction. The characters are a mixture of human, alien and animal beings: Grinder, Goldrock, Equus, Dirk, Dio, Mastodon, Morin, Phoenix, Rotundo, Uppercut, Xenon and Zygrunt. Moves are performed by pressing one of two buttons while pushing the pad in one of four directions. In addition, these moves will change if your fighter is wrestling, in the air or on the ground. Thus the same move you use while jumping will have a different effect after locking grips with an opponent. Options include three difficulty levels, adjustable continues (from three to five) and the opportunity to challenge a friend for simultaneous bashing in a futuristic setting!
