Based on the 1985 arcade game (simply titled Space Harrier), Space Harrier 3-D is a Master System exclusive with all new stages and is designed for use with the system's SegaScope 3-D Glasses. The pseudo 3D effect gives the game a sharper appearance than the standard version of Space Harrier for the Master System, but gameplay is essentially the same (if easier to see), and the graphics are still somewhat blocky and roughly animated in comparison to the original arcade game. Still, it's an intense, enjoyably mindless shooter.
