X-Men: GamesMaster's Legacy features seven playable characters from the comic book series: Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue, Bishop, and Jean Grey. Only the leaders Cyclops and Storm are available from the start, while the others become available once the player locates each hero in one of the game's eight levels. As the X-Men hurry to find a cure to the Gamesmaster's mutant virus, they'll face off against such villains as Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, Stryfe, Sienna Blaze, Exodus, Shinobi Shaw, Fabian Cortez, and Fitzroy.
