Energized by a rocking soundtrack, solid (if uninventive) gameplay, and large, futuristic levels, Android Assault: The Revenge of Bari-Arm is a typical side-scrolling shooter peppered with several areas of horizontal gameplay. Players weave in and out a barrage of enemies, lasers and bullets while furiously blasting away at most anything that moves. There are a number of different power-ups and weapon upgrades (such as a Burning Wave and a Chase Cannon), but you can only wield one weapon at a time. Collecting a certain number of power-ups transforms the standard ship into a more powerful mech, giving the game a modicum of personality.
