Product Specs
Description
Designed for fast-paced, pick-up-and-go riding with a believable look and authentic gameplay, MX 2002 Featuring Ricky Carmichael provides gamers with physics modeled to make bikes react realistically to every dip and turn. Courses are based on a dozen real-world tracks and four freestyle arenas. There are 30 professional riders available from the 125cc, 250cc, and pro freestyle classes, including Mike Larocco and Carey Hart. Quick race mode features 250cc and 125cc double heat events, which require you to place in the top three to advance to the final heat. Finishers in fourth to seventh places qualify for a Last Chance heat to compete for the final two slots in the final heat. In Championship mode, points are awarded in descending order (20, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2) for the eight racers in the final heat, with accumulated points determining the season winner. Freestyle events feature two heats of eight racers each, with points awarded based on tricks performed. MX 2002 options include easy, medium, and hard difficulty settings, weather (wet, dry, or random), number of laps (two, four, or six), and choice of rider. Bike tuning includes a choice of tires, pipes, sprockets, shocks, and torque settings, while in-game displays show total time, lap times, position and number of laps, a map, and speed. At the completion of each race, standings reflect your finish, total race time, and individual statistics of tricks completed, best lap time, and longest jump.
