Rocket Power: Gettin' Air (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 2001)

Product Specs
Description
The first game based on the 1999 Nickelodeon animated series, Rocket Power: Gettin' Air for the Game Boy Color offers surfing, BMX racing, rollerblading, and snowboarding on one cartridge. All events are played from a side-view perspective moving left to right. Performing stunts while racing earns bonus points, but players must be wary of running into obstacles such as trash or rocks. Only by reaching a specific point total at the end of each level will players be able to advance, although stages can be replayed as many times as needed without penalty. Six characters from the television series are featured in the game. Otto Rocket is playable on the rollerblading stage, Reggie Rocket shreds the slopes with her snowboard, Twister Rodriguez rides the BMX bike, and Sam Dullard catches waves on a surfboard. Ray Rocket and Tito Makani are also on hand to offer some support between levels at the Shore Shack or Ray's Rocket Rentals. In-game progress can be resumed via passwords provided in "Reggie's Zine" at the end of each stage.
