ESPN Winter X Games Snowboarding 2002 (Nintendo Game Boy Advance, 2002)

Product Specs
Description
The Game Boy Advance version of ESPN Winter X Games Snowboarding 2002 takes place from an overhead perspective as players shred down a vertically scrolling slope with one of 13 professional boarders. Three modes of play include Superpipe, Snowboarder X, and Big Air. Superpipe has players trying to earn as many points as possible by performing tricks off the edges of the course. Once in the air, each boarder can perform one of four tricks, five tweaks, and eight grabs. Big Air offers a similar goal with the difference being the amount of hang-time in the air. The course features three kickers, which send the boarder high above the ground to initiate multiple trick combinations. The top three scores in each of the modes are saved via battery backup. Snowboarder X involves advancing through a series of blue and red gates. An arrow moves back and forth along the lower edge of the screen to indicate the next gate's location, since the courses scroll from top to bottom. Trees function as obstacles during the run, and players must pass through each gate within a target time to progress. A total of five courses are offered in the Snowboarder X event.
