Konami's first skateboarding game under their Evolution series of extreme sports titles features a total of eight fantasy levels designed to be three times larger than the environments used in ESPN X Games: Skateboarding. Rather than go the traditional route, the developers included such diverse elements as boss battles against a giant spider or a runaway truck before allowing players to advance. Also included is a system where players can design and tweak their own stunts from a Create-a-Trick mode. Further customization is supported in the Create-a-Skater mode, where players can design their own character from scratch before taking him or her out for test skate around the 3D levels.
