Sega Bass Fishing Duel (Sony PlayStation 2, 2002)

Product Specs
Description
The fourth title in Sega's arcade-style fishing series, Sega Bass Fishing Duel strikes the PlayStation 2 with authentic lakes, fish, and weather conditions. As in previous titles, the simplified interface and style of play is skewed toward immediate action instead of tentative waiting. After choosing a suitable alter ego (each with varying strengths and weaknesses) and one of over 100 types of lures from the tackle box, players can drive their motorboat anywhere on the lake before casting. A fish-finder tracking device warns of potential catches underneath the water's surface, but players will have to learn how to reel in the fish without snapping the line. Environmental factors, such as season, time of day, water temperature, and wind, must be also accounted for when fishing. Four modes of play include Practice, Tournament, Vs. Computer, and Two-Player. The latter mode lets friends compete rod-to-rod to see how many pounds of black bass and perch they can catch from a split-screen viewpoint.
