In Blazing Souls: Accelate, players take on the role of a young contractor named Zero who stumbles onto a mysterious magical stone and sets off on a quest to battle Human Genomes, creatures apparently created by God to replace mankind. Gamers can choose how they proceed through the adventure, with plenty of towns and dungeons to explore, numerous enemies to battle, and portions of the storyline revealed through animated cut-scenes. The action unfolds in a traditional turn-based manner, with players guiding their party of uniquely skilled characters through a variety of battles, but Blazing Souls also adds a few twists, such as the ability to create more than 200 items and skills, terrain that is affected by decisions gamers make, and monsters that can be captured and integrated into the party. Players can choose from a number of different actions during each confrontation, including Charge, Hold, Break, and Overkill, and strategically positioning the squad lets gamers unleash massive ranged and melee combo attacks.
