Konami's Disney Sports line, featuring Game Boy Advance titles devoted to skateboarding, motocross, football, basketball, and soccer, expands with the release of Disney Sports Snowboarding. Characters include Disney favorites Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Big Bad Pete, and Chip and Dale, each with specific ratings in stability, rotation, recovery, performance, speed, flips, airborne time, turn control, jumps, and tricks. Players perform tricks on the slippery slopes in four main gameplay modes: Race, Trick, Rally, and Time Trial. In addition to racking up high scores and bragging rights, players can collect trick cards, messages (tutorial and other), and up to 30 snowboards during the game. Certain boards can be exchanged with Disney Sports Soccer and Disney Sports Basketball GBA and Nintendo GameCube titles for additional magic items. Nearly a dozen magic items within Disney Sports Snowboarding can be used to alter courses and affect opponents. Items range from Flaming Fury (sets course on fire) and Speedy Feet (turbo boost) to Boom Shots (mow down opponents with a steel ball) and Quake Fury (shakes all opponents off course). Two players can compete via Game Boy Advance link cable, using all four game modes and unlocked courses.
