An alien presence is ravaging your planet and it's up to you the proverbial lone pilot to stop it. The best feature of Aleste is the multitude of weapons power-ups you can grab. All of the classic power-ups can be found in this single shooter, from the wave gun to the giant pulsing energy ball in front of your nosecone. Each power-up is numbered, so you can easily tell what you are about to pick up. This is extremely useful because snagging multiples of the same power-up increases its potency. In addition to these major power-ups, you must also keep collecting "P" capsules that boost the strength and width of your regular weapon.This limited edition US release (which saw a commercial released as Aleste in Japan) was only available via mail-in order.
