Description

Based on the film franchise that made Sylvestor Stallone a household name, Rocky is a button-masher in which players take on the role of the Italian Stallion and duke it out with Apollo, Clubber Lang and Drago, the latter of whom throws powerful punches at all times (other characters throw powerful punches with every fourth punch). Prior to a one-player match, Rocky must go through training, which involves punching a sandbag, training on a punching ball, or punching training mitts. Good training results in a faster, stronger fighter. Movement is limited to left and right, and there are just three types of punches (straight-on, hook, uppercut), but the characters are detailed, sound effects are realistic, and the boxing action is fun (if brief).
