Micro Machines 1 and 2: Twin Turbo (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 1999)

Product Specs
Description
Micro Machines 1 and 2: Twin Turbo for the Game Boy Color brings both the original NES Micro Machines racing game and its sequel to one cartridge. Players must race through a series of courses from a 2D overhead view against three CPU opponents. If players fail to take first or second place, they lose a life and must retry the same course. The game is over when players lose all their lives. Players are given many different vehicle types to race with, all drawn from the Micro Machines world. They range from speedy but slippery sports cars to rugged trucks, and even include vehicles like speedboats and helicopters. Each vehicle has its own course type with unique obstacles to navigate. Players may race in bathtubs filled with soap suds and rubber duckies or garage workshops with hazards like screws and gobs of glue, amongst other course settings. Two players can even race against each other on the same Game Boy system. The first player uses the D-pad to steer, while the second player uses the A and B buttons to steer and the Start button to brake. In two-player mode, a column of eight dots appears at the top corner of the screen, with each player having four dots in their favor. Each time a car is left too far behind on the screen or falls into a hazard, the other car earns a dot. To win the game, players must have all eight dots in their color.
