Description

Great Football is one of three football games for the Master System, the other two being Sports Pad Football and Walter Payton Football. Sports Pad Football is actually almost the same game as Great Football except that players must use the Sega Sports Pad to control all of the action. No NFL licensing is included so there are no real players or teams. City names are not used for teams either, instead Sega created generic names such as Sharks and Dukes. Games are played as exhibition games, no season mode or playoffs are featured. The field is viewed from overhead while the players are viewed from the side.
