Mary-Kate and Ashley: Crush Course (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 2001)

Product Specs
Description
Crush Course for the GBC is a board game specifically aimed at young girls, starring film and television personalities Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Up to four players take turns rolling a die and moving the appropriate number of spaces on one of three themed boards: School, The Park, and The Mall. The winner is the first to complete three laps around the board. A secondary objective is to collect hearts, earned by landing on specially marked spaces. Red spaces trigger the Crush Game, where players decide which boy has a "crush" on them. Selecting the correct picture awards hearts, while wrong choices take hearts away. Pictures of crushes can also be traded with another player if two people land on the same space. Landing on blue spaces triggers a mini-game, such as finding a maze exit or collecting objects within the allotted time. Setting a mini-game high score earns hearts, and subsequent players who land on the space must beat the score or lose hearts. Other spaces let players warp, miss a turn, roll again, swap places with another player, or randomly win or lose hearts. Collecting hearts and crushes also unlocks The Mall board, additional routes, and more boys for the Crush Game. Accumulated hearts and statistics such as the number of games played can be saved via password. Options include adjustable laps (from one to four) and individual toggles for mini-games, music, sound effects, and trading.
