3-D Ultra Pinball: Thrillride (Nintendo Game Boy Color, 2000)

Product Specs
Description
3-D Ultra Pinball: Thrillride for the Game Boy Color takes pinball fans to the amusement park, letting them ride on roller coasters and log flumes as they go for the highest score possible. The 3-D Ultra Pinball series, which originally appeared on the PC, is known for including tricks and features not found in traditional pinball games. Thrillride follows in this tradition, and as such, the game offers players six different tables that are accessible through various means. These hidden tables, which are essentially mini-games that supplement the action of the main table, are necessary to complete the game. Thrillride also features various multi-ball scenarios that will allow players to access the final Lights Out event. Although it is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation, Thrillride is based around Hershey Park, an amusement park in Pennsylvania, which explains both the name of the rides and the numerous references within the game to Hershey's chocolate product. The classic roller coaster, "The Thunderbolt" makes an appearance, as does the brand-new Lightning Racer. In addition, the steel Super-Dooper-Looper coaster, as well as some flat rides and the log flume are represented. The point of the game is to go through the various modes, completing them in order to move closer and closer to nightfall and the final event of the game, Lights Out, where the title must be played "in the dark." Of course, huge jackpots can be racked up if this mode is obtained, and once it is finished the whole game starts over. 3-D Ultra Pinball: Thrillride can be played by up to four players on a single Game Boy Color, and has battery backup to save scores. The game also includes a built-in rumble feature that provides vibration feedback during play.
